AWAZ 247 works with healthcare providers, payers, and related organizations on services such as medical billing, revenue cycle management, and customer support. Where our work involves access to Protected Health Information (PHI), we take that responsibility seriously.
Our Approach
- Staff working on healthcare accounts are trained on HIPAA-aware handling of patient information.
- Access to PHI is limited to team members directly supporting the relevant engagement.
- We use Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with healthcare clients where required by law before handling PHI.
- Systems and workflows used for regulated healthcare engagements follow reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.
Client Responsibilities
Covered entities remain responsible for ensuring their own HIPAA compliance program, including executing a BAA with us prior to any engagement involving PHI, and confirming the scope of data we are authorized to access.
